RFC took on visitors from EFC in a return match, hosted by RFC and scheduled to be the last match of the season. A poule unique was fought between the 6 visitors from EFC and 16 RFC fencers, with the Reading participants ranging in both age and experience. A great evening of fencing was had, with a total of 69 bouts completed by the. The visitors came away with a narrow victory after winning 36 of their bouts, versus a score of 33 victories from RFC.

Reading hosted a return match against Swindon FC yesterday. Our team included Ben Schneider, Peter Robinson and Alain Barbasiewicz. The match was closely contested to begin with, but Reading prevailed, winning through 45-35 against a strong team.

Members from RFC boasted an impressive haul of silverware from the Hampshire Open this weekend. Verity Hillier won the Ladies Epée, whilst Reading filled the entire podum in the Mens event - Ben Schneider gold, Calum Maynard silver, and Nick Dobie and Alex Sallons both bronze.
