Demo at Reading Train Station

21 January 2019

Fancy some free practice and a free lunch? A final reminder of our demo at Reading train station next Saturday, 26 January.

We will principally have two activities:

A dedicated piste on which Club members can fence each other, with ongoing commentary by another member. (I’ll also bring my coaching jacket for anyone who wants a free lesson!)

Other members available to talk to members of the public, supervising them play with foam sabres, answering questions, giving out flyers etc.

The demo will run from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on the station’s main overhead concourse (adjacent to Starbucks).

We will reimburse reasonable travel costs/parking in addition to giving an allowance for lunch.

So far the following have volunteered:

  • Alain and Philippe Barbasiewicz
  • Ashlee Grainger
  • Lewie Jackson
  • Calum Maynard
  • David Newcomb
  • James and Paul Radford
  • Jeff Rosenbaum

If you can turn up for any or indeed all of the 10am-2pm slot then please let us know as soon as possible so we have an idea of numbers. This is a great opportunity not only for some free practice and food, but also for some much-deserved publicity for our Club and its members!
