31/3/08 - 5 Nations
RFC fielded two fencers in this year's Five Nations Home International, held in Glasgow at the weekend. Steve Bateman made his debut for Wales and Alain Barbasiewicz represented England, both in the Mens Epée event - Wales won all four of their matches, with Steve fencing well despite wearing borrowed kit (courtesy of British Airways), and Alain scoring most hits on his team, placing 3rd but winning the overall title.
